After hosting hundreds of weddings, I can tell you one thing for sure — the right venue doesn’t just look beautiful; it feels right. When you step on the property, you should instantly picture yourself saying “I do.” These seven questions will help you find that perfect fit (and maybe even save you money and stress along the way).
1. What’s Included in the Price?
Many venues charge extra for essentials like tables, chairs, or setup. At The Heritage, our $1,800 venue-only package includes everything you need — from ceremony seating to reception tables. Transparency saves you from surprise costs later.

2. How Flexible Are You With Vendors?
Some venues lock you into preferred vendors. We believe in freedom — bring your caterer, florist, or DJ. It’s your day, not ours.

3. What Happens if it Rains?
A solid backup plan equals peace of mind. Our enclosed barn space transforms into a cozy indoor ceremony setup in minutes — no panic, no Plan B stress.
4. Are There On-Site Getting Ready Spaces?
Our bridal suite and groom’s cottage make the morning calm and comfortable. You’ll have air conditioning, mirrors, and plenty of space for laughter and photos.
5. What’s the Setup & Breakdown Timeline?
Some venues rush you out; we give you full access from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. — plenty of time to decorate and celebrate. We begin takedown at 10:30pm allowing you until midnight to be out of the venue.
6. What Restrictions Apply?
Ask about candles, alcohol, or décor limits before the big day. Our policies are simple and safety-driven — not restrictive.
Our bartending service is the only real restrictions required :)
7. Can We Visit at Sunset?
Lighting changes everything. Schedule your tour close to your ceremony time — you’ll see the glow your photographer will capture perfectly.
